A desolate leaf
Wonders why he should hold on
When others have fell

Kaile,
Seeing others gone
While he still just hangs around
Makes him feel lonley

Good one! Good to see you posting here again!

kaile; this is so lovely!

intrepid bright one
you have courage to hang on
till winters first frost

Summers haunting melody
that awakens
the butterflies,
calling them to join
the dance
in their silent song
of praise to God.

Great one Kalie...You were the first one I'd seen post these little gems, I didn't have a clue about how to write them, I'm still trying to get the hang of it, but it's been fun trying.  Bonnie

Why should he let go if he has the strength to hold on? Though he might be lonely, he might be the only one who could bring life back to the tree. It might take just one leaf to start producing food under the sun, thus reviving the tree.

So, another lesson here is, never give up hope until the very very last second. Maybe you shouldn't even give up then, but just never give up til everything is absolute.
