a little girl came out to play today she ran she jumped she sang she danced she smiled and the sun shone in her eyes she had not a care in the world led by childish innocence she entered a world of imagination and dreams seeing her delight in simple pleasures one could not help but smile for nothing warms the heart more than the precious innocence of a child as the day came to a close the child could not rest not ready to end the adventure but finally she slumbers her mind now dancing with visions of another day Lord embrace this child while she sleeps hold her close keep her safe that she might know how deeply she is loved -vlraynes "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truely met the poet. -vlraynes |

A vivid picture of a child, it reminds me of myself when I was young.. - James The beauty of nature is displayed, not through itself, but through the creatures dwelling within its bosom. |

Vicky; I love this poem! You have so beautifully captured the sweet innocents of a child! ellie Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |
