Heart aimlessly revolves Random circles, back and forth Broken lodestone misplaces magnetic pole, Desire for love spins in despair; With the compass of weary soul in hand Shoot an azimuth to the North Star of Love Where Polaris resides in solitude, Between the Ursa Major and Cassiopeia, Constellations of hope that never vanish As they dance in eternity of dazing light; World continues to gyroscope, as fleet Imaginary horizon arc disappears in mind, Lost path among the shattered shards of stars, No hope of finding a true way back; Stone-etched rules don’t make sense! If the heart rises before the sun has set The illuminated side will be on the west; If the heart rises after midnight The illuminated side will be the east; But if covered clouds in anguish weeps Then all landmarks are hazy and indistinct, In rudderless deep, drifts the dark sea; All is not what it truely seems to be! It is said moss grows on north side of trees, As it quietly hides from a sun that heals, The night grows and flourishes everywhere; Torn life is enshrouded in dark/damp cave Rolls the tumbling stone cold heart, Moist with the tears of a thousand years, If water runs down hill fleet as a deer Then hope should spring up eternal everywhere; As two shades are cast in time apart Tip of darkness move in opposite directions; If the mind rises in the east and sets west First shadow should be west and second east Therefor drawn right angle line is north by south; And home should be where the heart is; With no soul mate to anchor far points of being; Then none of the above navigation rules apply To the lost forsaken heart, which wanders with no rest. |
