Have you ever loved another, Your heart within, it burned, With passions sweet desires, But that love was not returned? Have you ever seen a sunset, Too glorious for mortal eye, Tried to capture with a camera, But it's radiance, film denied? Have you ever had a craving, For something oh so sweet, Only to be disappointed, By an unsatisfying treat? We oft seek things external, To fill a voided part, When we need to work internal, To mend a broken heart. [This message has been edited by Lost Dreamer (edited 07-31-2000).] |

Nothing like a good cry on a Friday morning. Did you write this one for me? LOL...I am dealing right now with my first broken heart, and this poem speaks so much truth about how I am feeling. It is a great poem, Dennis..thank you. You can never have too much fiction; reality can be such a bore |

Dennis: This is a beautiful poem, Bro. The wisdom is perfect. We do need to look inside for the healing to begin and our needs to be met. "for the Kingdom of God is within you". This is one of your very best. Love, Sis Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Dennis- All I can say is, "Wow!". So sad, and so true. Brings back some, not so distant, memories. This one touched my heart. Thank you for that. -vlraynes (vicky) "I have read your words, and within them I have found your heart." -vlraynes |

Dear Brother, I think we've all been ther--done that in one way or another--and I say that not to minimize your point but to show we all need application of it. So often we settle for unfulfilling substitues & fillers in our life when, if we go about it right we could have the real thing. Great Poem-you've got my vote! David |
