OK, time to be brave and just throw one out there. Be gentle. ) faded hearts faded hearts as faded jeans ripped and torn apart scars of the past remain in view a testament of days gone by faint colors linger where they once shone bright dulled by the passing of time but beyond the scars and colors dim lives a spirit which cannot be broken for faded hearts as faded jeans may be mended with patience and time vlraynes |

welcome to passions!!!Viraynes, dont be afraid to "throw one out there"...we are all friendly here and i promise we wont bite...LOL i must say this is an excellent first post...i like your simple yet effective metaphor of hearts and love as faded jeans and the hopeful promise hinted at the end of the poem |

I always feel like patience is a virtue time more powerful than the stongest steel. Great imagery. Though if I tried to patch my faded jeans I'd wind up making a new set. Kevin "Anything is possible with patience, time is the tool use it to reach your goals." |

Thanks to all of you for all your kind words. It's so nice to have so many new friends here at the pub. -vlraynes (vicky) "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truely met the poet. -vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (edited 07-30-2000).] |

This was worth pulling up. Those old faded patched jeans are the most comfortable, too, aren't they? They might not look so exciting, but they're the favorites anyway. And those faded hearts often are the ones that have the most to give, too. Nice analogy! To love another person is to see the face of God. - Les Miserables Marilyn |

So here is where it all started...I love going treasure hunting... Karilea If I whisper, will you listen?... I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound. KRJ |

Wonderful post. I really liked this one and the analogy you used. Wonderful! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
