For my son, Talon.... Your fourth birthday’s coming up my little guy is growing fast; your baby days are over, they didn’t seem to last. Your little hands are bigger your legs are getting long; your hair is getting thicker, your body is growing strong. It didnt seem that long ago when you were just a tiny thing; crying all through the night, until your bottle I would bring. It didnt seem that long ago when you started to crawl away; back and forth in the living room, getting faster every day. It didn’t seem that long ago when you (finally!) started to walk; and your cute little babbling, turned into chatty talk. Now you just get bigger with every passing day; needing me less and less, doing things your own way I like to imagime sometimes that maybe, just maybe... no matter how big you get You’ll always be my baby! You can never have too much fiction; reality can be such a bore |

Dear sweet Bethy; This so wonderful, and I can't believe my baby grandson is 4 already. Beautifully written, darling! Love, Mom Summers haunting melody that awakens the butterflies, calling them to join the dance in their silent song of praise to God. eL |

Oh Beth, This is so beautiful. Definitely written from the heart of a Mom. It sure brought back memories of my "boys" when they were little. And dear, you don't have to imagine....even at 6 foot, he'll still be your baby. Simply beautiful poem. Bonnie |

Beth, Unlike my brother Dennis, I don't know from experience as a father like he has - nor your experience as a Mother like you have. But I do know of the tender bond which transcends time- and how fleeting my own life has been. Cherish the moments-- and God bless Talon on his birthday & beyond. David |
