Ma always liked you better 'Tho I done nothing wrong, She blamed me for everything-- As you went skipping on! Dad always liked you better Though I think it not my fault, I tried to make him proud of me You were his favorite, no doubt! She always liked you better In her eyes, you always soared, You were the "Apple of her Eye"-- Me? Just the one that she ignored! Dad always beamed with you around No question, you were Number One, I was around but oft' ignored He paid attention to his First-born son! Well, You always were Mom's favorite No matter how hard I would try, And when some desert she'd cut Good-bye big piece o'the pie! When it was time to get us pets He gave you your first wish, You got a lovable puppy dog-- What I got was a dumb gold fish! There was no sense of justice Yes, this I had soon found, E'en though I was the older one I got all your hand-me-downs! I always was in your shadow Your grades were always best, You always came out on the top When we were put to the test! Yes, They really messed up, Not a thing did They do Right, 'Cept giving us each a Brother Such a Sibling Delight! It doesn't matter any more The past is o'er and gone, Despite all of their Poor Parenting True Brothers we have become!!! |

a wonderful poem, can certainly relate to this. I used to annoy the hell of my brother when I was little, not very smart as he is 8 yrs older than me, but as I grew up I began to depend on him for a lot of things. Igot that "you could take a leaf out of yours brother's book" when it came to studying. I will stop ranting great poem.
