a child i become-- curious. a listener sitting at the feet of a wise old dragon. with eager anticipation i wait for the magic he beholds to spill from his passionate soul that i might touch the memories of another realm... i wonder, when he closes his eyes what does my dragon friend dream of? i wonder, when he listens what he hears. my friend,the dragon, he flies with winged ones. he can touch the stars-- if he wants to... the story unraveled the listener in awe... the spirit of wonderment has fallen upon my head and imprinted itself onto my heart only to leap back into the memory of the old dragon... i look upon the face of the storyteller, into the eyes of a child... it is he-- in the shell of a boy, my wise dragon friend... --dgvarner < !signature--> "A Poet's life is on written page; a scenario to take the stage--watch..." dgvarner [This message has been edited by dgvarner (edited 06-04-2000).] |

When I was young it was Puff the magic dragon, i even had the album. aw those childhood years. the spirit of wonderment has fallen upon my head and imprinted itself onto my heart only to leap back into the memory of the old dragon... i look upon the face of the storyteller, into the eyes of a child... it is he-- in the shell of a boy, my wise dragon friend... thanks for allowing me to feel the magic of childhood, a wondderful poem, beautiful. ------------------------ "I've been too honest with myself I should have lied like everybody else"-Richey Edwards "Take nothing but pictures. I'm...well... I'm speechless!! Wow...this is more beautiful than anything I think I've ever written...and that it's dedicated to me, well-- I remember someone asking me what color a dragon blushes (I think it was the DeVine one!)... Well, whatever color I'm blushing right now, it's for good cause... Thank you SO MUCH dg!!!!  I can't express in words how much I appreciate this!!! Thanks SO MUCH!!!!!
