the Rings Do you remember the rings? Rings made of love the heart over the Cross? We had them tattooed onto our fingers swearing, never to come off. Do you remember the love? Symbolized by the circle topped with hearts. We promised forever to each and to God will you ever forget. Do you remember the promise? Branded in colored ink always in sight. Can you see the rings lest we cast aside reminders, so beautiful. Do you remember the rings? Do you see my love whenever you glimpse? My promise remains... true to you, true to you I have been ever true to you. 5/00 EndoftheRoad bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |

This is a very well written poem, you expressed a bond that should last forever with expertise. |

The title caught me!! Had to see what that was about! I liked the poem very much, but it did have a sad "ring" to it, are they not together anymore? I may be a little slow on these things!!?? |

wow..i could feel the hurt there at the end--is that what that was? if not, that was my interpretation.. i think i'll read it again..good portrayal of a wounded heart... "A Poet's life is on written page; a scenario to take the stage--watch..." dgvarner |

Thank y'all for the input. yes it was another bittersweet kinda thing. Trying to capture the illusive, hopefull and eternal flavor of a love thought to be forever. And perhaps an awakening too. thanks again, bleeding... "Tis ink coming from his arm, Captain!" |
