there's an empty soul
in the dark tonight
crawling under the stars
crying out in a deafening tone
while the life slowly drains away.
there's an empty heart
in a stone cold world
longing to be filled
whispering goodbye
as he drifts to sleep,
forever--and he doesnt know...
theres a child
in a broken picture frame--
theres a child
with heavy eyes...

hang on, dear one!
never close your eyes--
fight the dark,
see another way...
