You watch them grow From the time they are born You live through the terrible 2s Portrayed with a golden halo And those angelic smiles There go the fearsome fours Now learning 2 write Seven hours in school What to expect when they're six? Adventures and dirt They're always at play Even when they are eight years old Now we skip forward 2 not such great times 2 the age of fifteen Jose Cuervo and Mary Juana Begin 2 enhance the lives Of children called "fifteen" Where 1ce was 'angelic' Now lies 'stoned' 4 our fallen angels Life defines no more than what it is you ask for. I like Jon's theory, as well! I've never heard it put quite that way before, but it is so true! I love your poem, too, Alicia! Denise |

I guess no one has noticed, but I got this idea from a response to another poem. The numbers I used instead of words add up to 15. alicia [This message has been edited by Alicia Renzelman (edited 05-11-2000).] |
