Instead of giving Christmas cards, each year I write a poem significant for the year just ending. I buy pretty holiday paper, print them up and hand them out. Here is my 1998 poem. What gift can we give each other this year that won’t break or fade away what token will be just the right symbol for what we want to say? A gaily wrapped box held out with pride may hold a wonderful gift it’s true, but what could we give that cost nothing of us, what would be right for me and you? If we could give to each other perfection wrapped in a box of gold, would that gift then be something wondrous and glorious to behold. A smile, an embrace, perhaps a song or a kind and caring touch. If only we could give happiness A gift that would mean so much. We may seek it all our lives for it’s something money can’t buy. So why not give it away as your gift before another year passes us by. I wish you good health and true love and whatever makes you complete And if I could give you happiness next year, I would place it at your feet. Beautiful, Poet deVine. I wish the same to you and everyone here. ------------------ Nail to the mast her holy flag, Set every threadbare sail- And give her to the god of storms, The lightning and the gale! -Oliver Wendell Holmes |

I like it also. A good idea it is to write a poem instead of giving out a card~I've thought of it myself. Merry Christmas everyone. |

I did something liek that one year. I wrote a poem about Jesus and made it so it fit into a cross sign, and drew this kewl looking cross around it and printed one up and framed it for each family in my family. Some still actually have it hung up LoL.....I wonder if I still have a copy of that poem, I liked it hehe. Great poem though, tis beautiful, and I am sure everyone who received it loved it as much as we do! ------------------ ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone. To escape this, accept the blood of Jesus Christ! ~*~ |

Hey this was great. A wonderful wish indeed! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |
