To me this poem is about the ultimate experience of Mothers Day, I hope you like. Our Sweet Sunflower It's so HOT Bees droning outside the window Sundrenched,dry,HOT. They are so brave, these two. Daring, yet afraid. Risking the miracle. Midwife calm Smiling gently. The moment comes-then goes. Again And again. We're all ready, All but one. Sweating, crying Hoping,pleading. So brave. All the effort, all the pain- Pure joy, Tears of love. She has arrived. "Sunflower", says her Dad. Wonderful peace. The future is in our hands. |
