The place names are familiar ones in this French/Cajun area of south Louisiana. No reindeer and snow, but we do have swamps and coon-dogs. And as the topic says, my apologies to Rudolph...Sing it aloud if you dare! Randolph, the Loud-Mouth Coon Dog Randolph, the loud-mouth coon dog, Barked so loud both night and day You could even hear him yowling From Isle Jean Charles to Pointe Barré. All of the other hound dogs Covered ears when Randolph bayed, None of them would ever join him In his coon-dog serenade. Then one murky Christmas eve Santa's sleigh was lost In the swamp near Point-aux-Chenes; He must get out at any cost. Then came a joyful barking As Randolph led the reindeer out. Randolph, the loud-mouth coon dog Saved the day without a doubt. @ 1999, PHC |

The topic is holiday cheer and this is indeed a cheerful and wonderful poem just for the Christmas season. I have a dog next door that could also qualify as a loud-mouth coon dog. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas. James |

Wonderful indeed! I found this to bring a nice smile to my face. However family members are giving me strange looks and so are my dogs, but hey it is worth it! Great job! ------------------ ~*~ Hell is not a place of fire and a devil with a tail and horns. But a place of torment because the light of God is gone.
