The Americans moved Abu Simbel
to save it from the new Nile lake.
Job well done, but one slight error
did the noble Americans make...

The sunlight on ceremonial wall
now shines exactly one day wrong---
As bakshesh guides will sometimes say,
"Not Ramses' birthday, George Washington!"
