"pools of eggnog" you think Christmas is fun as a human? imagine being a flea. imagine being a flea in a Christmas tree. gifts the size of whole back yards to play on. green pathways, illuminated by sky-scraper-sized, blinking light bulbs. giant globes on which to skate upon. and, of course, the thunder rumbling of Christmas songs. the singing. the pools of eggnog, beckoning you to jump inside without your suit on. the laughter. Christmas plates and Christmas cups. and don’t forget the theater-sized television specials. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! Frosty the Snowman! A Christmas Story! I’m telling you. the ones who really celebrate during Christmas are the tiny ones. their world is our world magnified. the hopeful smiles of tinsel-decorated, gingerbread December big enough to look like reindeer prancing through the snow. |
