Each year, I send out a poem, written on pretty paper instead of a greeting card. This is my poem for this year. As years go, this was not the best Our love and patience put to the test Horror filled our hearts with pain Will we ever feel secure again? How can we smile and be of good cheer After this, a sad and tragic year? And yet we, with bowed head stand Reach out to find a brother’s hand A small thing surely to start anew One heart sends love from me to you Your heart and mine send love more We find the key that unlocks hate’s door Brotherhood of man will be The cure for our nation’s tragedy Passion for life; love of our land And reaching out with a helping hand. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah |

Lovely, lovely words here. I do like this very much. You have expressed exactly what so many feel, and expressed it beautifully. ...and her crown was formed by the ice in her eyes |

A wonderful holiday gift of words you send. This year is very different from what most have known. Much tragedy has rocked our nation, but as you have so richly expressed, we will reach out to each other... hand in hand. Hugs, Deb |

First, I love the thought of sending your talents instead of a boughten card. Secondly, your poem is so touching and timely, I'm sure it'll be a treasured keepsake, and lastly, your words flow so very nicely, it's a pleasure to reread. Thanks for sharing with us. Rae |

I loved your essay in poetry form. Sums up the year 2001 very accurately and should warm hearts as it's read. Cheryl |
