Christmas Star Twinkle me a Christmas star Shining from the heav’n afar Catch the glimmering star somehow And hang it on the highest bough Flutter me some angel wings To bring me music plucked on strings Some lovely angels just for me To hang upon my Christmas tree Sparkle me some snowy flakes Across the field and frozen lakes Please grab a flake in icy white To trim a branch with crystal light Flicker me some candle flames To decorate the window panes So all the world will surely know Our home is lit in Christmas glow Place a blessed manger scene Here underneath the evergreen The star will shine from up above Upon a Child wrapped in God’s Love The angels on the needled limbs Will sing the joyous Christmas hymns The hearts of loved ones gathered round, Will marvel at the woundrous sound Prickle me a holly wreath With bow of red just underneath Glitter me some cookie treats Sprinkled with bright colored sweets Hurry, hurry, don’t be late! The day of Christmas will not wait Please finish all these chores because I’m waiting here for Santa Clause! Elizabeth Santos |

What fun decorations! This is so good, I just may have to "borrow" it and take it to North Pole Santa Clause House...it's only a 15 minute sleigh ride from my house. Or do you have a " hard" copy with illustrations? Email me your thoughts on this. |

Such a sweet, fun, spirited poem! I reread trying to pick out favorite lines and must admit it's every one of them. Now I feel more like getting into my boxes of decorations I've pulled from the attic. Thanks, Rae |

Elizabeth, Your poem is so lovely and tenderly written. You've amazed me my friend. Yep, we gotta get all those Holiday chores done to make way for the arrival of Mr. Santa Clause for sure. Merry Christmas to you and yours. -Bob |
