The Christmas tree was real That heavy tinsel, special feel So many lights, in sparkling view Glass ornaments, hung neatly too And angel perched, atop it all Beaming down, it did not fall The tree was watered in its stand Its special smell, came on so grand Nativity, was always perched In middle window, all would search Side windows dressed, with candlelight I'd check the view, from sidewalk sight All was right, this child felt sure That special time, lived in his door I thank you God, for visions past Which come alive, to hold and grasp Roger J. Evocative memories of christmas past. I especially like the last two lines, they make everything gel. And b.t.w welcome to passions, I hope you enjoy your time here. Regards Olias |

This was great. I liked this poem very much. Welcome to Passions......hope to see you more often. I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

I love the verbally vivid poems like this one, where you can actually see what is described in your mind's eye. Beautiflly written and described of Visions past. |
