The frustration mounts As the paint clots Running together Reds, whites, and blacks The fan blows A little too hard Instead of drying It blows the work Further down the table After chasing it wildly And placing it in place My fingers work rapidly Smearing on yet more Multi colored paints Despite the cooperation Of tools unneeded And papers unwanted The masterpiece is finished And, behold, it comes to life As it once again dances Across the table Chuckling his HoHoHo And dragging his bag behind him The fingerpainted Santa Flies merrily into the night Chasing after the dreams Of artists and poets alike Even with a lot of imagination, does it make the story less true? |

This was magical. For me it was this little trip into the majestic land of holiday and cheer. I don't know how to explain it but this poem put me through this portal of happiness. hehe....it was the best! I was born myself, raised myself, and will continue to be myself. The world will just have to adjust. I hate your socks. I'd like to burn them! |

This made me think of Christmas through a young child's eyes. It's nicely done "Disagreements stimulate thought, thought stimulates action, and action stimulates life." --Me!! http://www.thehungersite.com |
