It has finally come. It's judgement day. As you stand before God, what will you say? I stayed in school and received a degree, I got a good job and made ltos of mony, I lived in a fine neighborhood in a nice home, I was successful in business and fairly well known. And God will say...I gave you all those things you see? And what did you ever do for me? How much time did you spend in prayer? When the church doors were open were you there? How often did you read the Bible and study with tenacity? Did you take time to tell your family and friends about me? Were your motives pure when you extended love and compassion to some? What exactly did you do for the building of my kingdom? Although you've learned many things, you fail to understand that all those things you call your own were blessings from MY loving hand! It's judgement day. You're time's run out. As you stand before God, what will be YOUR account? ``Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination. '' - Benjamin Franklin |

Dear Amy; A wonderful reminder of the reality and the truth of what really matters. It must be a shock to some that they couldn't take it with them, it all stayed here. The only thing that ever lasts is LOVE! Beautiful poem. Ellie 02 |

Very good Amy! "For what shall it profit a man..." I love how your poem gets right to the heart of the matter. "What will be your account?" Thanks Amy, you've really made me want to give thanks to the Lord, and take stock of my account. (It's a debit account, I better make some deposits quickly!) Thanks again! Jester |

Kavika I'm sorry. I either got booted when trying to reply, or I read it and got tied up. I thought I replied to this. There is an email that goes around that's very similuar to this! I like it, it makes you stop and think of what's really important. How we get lost in doing the things of the world and don't keep our thoughts on what we should be doing! Great job! My apologies. <*\\\>< Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. |

Yikes! This one hit home. This is a reminder we all need to hear from time to time. Nicely done Kavika, and I shall be more diligent with my prayer and bible reading in the future. Thanks for the wake up call! |
