oh lord of my fathers; my sovereign king; throughout heaven and earth let your praises ring! oh teacher of life; wise mens' master, spare my feet the paths of disaster. teach me your knowledge, the wisdom of old. for this i desire more than silver and gold. i am a fool; ignorant and blind, searching for treasure even scholars can't find. more priceless than diamonds; more rare than pure love: your divine revelation on the wings of a dove. oh father have mercy, oh great el shaddai, shed light on the darkness that vexes my mind. piece by piece lord re-fashion my soul. as i strive to move on til the day i am whole. despite my shortcomings, jesus my king, from the depths of my heart your praises do ring! < !signature--> [This message has been edited by son of man (edited 05-01-2000).] |

Beautiful! This reads like an old gregorian chant or a hymn of old. Perfect inspiration! 02 |

son of man' Very Good! Sounds more like David or Solomon, then Greg. Inspiring, to say the least, prayerful, to say some more. Thank-you! Jester |

Darling, that was a beautiful poem. I loved it. You know we go though things in life for a reason. I have told you that many of times. Only God know why. But I will love you forever. |

El Shaddai I don't think I've seen that one used by anyone! El is Elohim in all His strength and power El is God the Omipotent Shaddai, is the all bountiful! It is God (El), not as the source of strength, but of grace; not as Creator, but as the Giver. Excellent verse I might add here too!! |

Amen to that! I especially liked the part you wrote that said... i am a fool; ignorant and blind, searching for treasure even scholars can't find I think we all tend at least every now and then to search for treasures and truths that even the 'best of the best' can't find. All we need to know we have in our life's manual (the Bible) and in our hearts! Wonderful, praising poem you wrote here! ``Some have learnt many Tricks of sly Evasion, Instead of Truth they use Equivocation, And eke it out with mental Reservation, Which is to good Men an Abomination. '' - Benjamin Franklin |

Simply wonderful! The flow of praises and confessions of our needs magnificently inter twined. Thank you for this masterpiece. |
