Lord, standing there at the mirror,
Seeing the windows of my soul,
I noticed a glimmer not there before,
Not there, when I was not whole.

I was seeing a slow motion movie,
Of the struggles I would not share,
It was so dark and full of shadows,
Back then, I didn't think You would care.

At times the picture would brighten,
I could see laughter and carefree hearts,
But soon a dim, clouded image,
Would again show the many false starts.

Finally, as if in the purest of light,
I could see myself fall to my knees,
The image sharp and colorful,
As You heard to my unworthy pleas.

Two arms surrounded by the purest white,
Came clearly through the mist,
Hands so gently stroked my hair,
As my soul was tenderly kissed;

By the grace of Your sweet mercy,
Those burdens You lifted away,
Forgiving all of my past mistakes,
Giving me strength for each new day.

Now those windows are gleaming,
Those eyes looking almost brand new,
Reflection of starlight glistens,
As the spark of Your love shines through.

Bonnie,
This is just Lovely- reflective as in a mirror, and introspective as you look at your heart, and radiant as you see the effects of God's wonderful love surrounding and embracing you--Simly a picture and message of loveliness.  Thanks for the read!

You write of the doubts and fears we all have from time to time. We must try and remember to leave them at the cross, (talking to me now), for once He has forgiven us, we must do the same. Great Meaning, Great Poem.  God Bless, Marcy

What an awesome thing it would be to be in the presence of Jesus.

Ya know one of the hardest things I think I had to learn was Let go and Let God!

It's easy to say we give it to him, but really hard to actually totally surrender it all without hanging on to some part of it.

Well written!

What an accurate picture of us before and after the impact of His awesome love was finally realized.  Actually, I often think in finite minds, we can't really comprehend it's extent.  Thank you.
