I was blessed with angels
when I was born.

When I was two
and was hit one morn
with a wooden swing
to the floor.

In school, all
the kids made fun
of my glasses
reflecting the sun.

I was invensible
when I became a teen
taking risks when
my parents were unseen.

One night when a man
held a gun to my face.
It was only God's
presence and grace.

As a young mother
angels sending more
to watch over my children
as they walked out the door.

As a grandmother
worried about the welfare
of innocent grandchildren
those angels ready to share.

When there was
a need for care
between me and evil
they were always there.

And sprinkling their dust
when what I needed
was just a little trust
for good to come my way.

So each time I think
something terrible
has happened,
I know angels
were there.
Because
I am still here.

This is lovely, Julie. They must have been watching over me too! I can't believe some of the things I survived! This piece is such a blessing to my heart! Thanks for sharing!

Yes, we are being watched over that's for sure! The true blessing is being able to see it for what it is. So many just pass it off and never see it this way!

Thank you Denise and WhtDve. In retrospect there have been so many times where situations (outcomes) could have been so much worse. So in my older years (heehee) I have come to thank Him rather than ask Why?

This is beautiful Julie. I too believe that if it wasnt for God or for His angels I would not be alive today, or for that matter I would not have been alive many years ago either! So I too must say that I believe in angels. Thank you for sharing this!

Oh, I believe in angels too. I think God has a reason for all of us to be here and until we serve that purpose some of us give those angels a run for there money too...Great poem, Julie.

I am another who's Angels have kept me safe many times over. I really like this piece Julie....it is lovely!!
