And it came to pass
Pharaoh's dreams
Came true just as
Joseph had predicted
They would do.

There was famine all through the land
But in Egypt
They had food
Because during the seven years
Of abundance
Food was collected and stored.

Joseph's father Jacob
Learned that there was grain in Egypt
And he said to his sons
" Why do you keep looking at each other?
I have heard there is grain in Egypt.
Go down there and buy some for us
So we may live and not die."

So ten of Joseph's brothers were sent
Down to Egypt to buy grain,
Joseph's youngest brother Benjanmin
Remained
Staying at home, for Jacob feared
Some harm may become him
His "son of the right hand."
His only remaining son,
So he thought
Of his beloved wife Rachel.
