Tree frogs
Have started their song
In the woods along the trail

The watercolored ridges
Spill over with fuchsia

Creeping phlox
Like waterfalls of pink
Flowing across the rocks

The sound of wind chimes
Adds to the serenity
On a front porch swing
Softly rocking

As the lids of the world
Close, for one more night
The sun blinks
And it's gone
Behind a hill
I imagine, I am the first one
To see it depart
For these hills, that God made
Protect me, from a flat
Good-bye

Dear Regina - Oh, what imagery, I felt as if I were there.  This is simply beautiful, He does create wonders for us - doesn't He?  You really brought this one to life. It is truly awesome...Bonnie

Very beautiful indeed.  Your verse is rich in descriptive imagery.  You pull me right into a scene as if I was there (in silent memory).  Thankyou for sharing this one!

R, this is some great imagery. You really painted a serene picture I could see. I know I've repeated what the above said, but it's so true. Excellent piece of work!

Thanks, everyone, so much. It's the least I can do for all of you. I receive so many blessings from this forum. I know God has opened my eyes to everything around me, and it is he that speaks the imagery in volumes. I am just happy to share what he has done for me and for all. I thank him for the sight he gave me to see what he has to offer in this world, and it truly is a hint of what's to come in his.
Sincerely,
Rwood
