FRAGILE FREEDOM Freedom left to feed upon mere slogans, before too long, will starve to death. And, turned into a hollow symbol, our Lady Liberty no longer can proclaim the messages of mercy, love and reason, brought by courageous, wise and noble men. The freedom they so hopefully envisioned will perish, once the people should allow unscrupulous leaders and their lackeys to fire their foul and hateful barrages of slander, slurs and lies upon opponents, all in the name of freedom... What must we do to save that noble dream, bring it to life, restore the spark in everybody's eyes, as we together sing about this land we call The Beautiful? God knows the answer, let us pray that He will save America, our home sweet home... by Willem |

Dear Willem; Oh, how the truth rings through your words. We all need to pray for our country. It's wonderful to hear from you. Stick around here more often, Willem. Ellie 02 |

Yes WILLEM, How much this nation needs to be brought to it's knees, not by sin and corruption in the name of freedom, but in Humble Submission to the God that has blessed it so richly, and down on our knees prayerfully seeking a true Spiritual revival and renewal before it is too late. Thank you for your timely poem and it's message to us all, David "Our Creativity points to a Higher Creator--we couldn't have just happened, and for what ability we may possess--to God be the glory." -dlw- |

The sadness is, your words are so true. Our founding fathers honored God in their workings, and dealings initiating protection and equality for all. These same wonderful foundations are being twisted and turned to oil a couple of squeeky wheels undermining the unity of our once great country. Thank you for writing and posting this piece. |

It's disheartening and true everywhere you look. Our forefathers have been misconstrued to the point of no return. Our changing society is more fragile than ever. Prayer is the only way..by clinging to him and his word. Very well written. Thank you for sharing this. Sincerely, Rwood |

Thank you, dear friends, for taking the trouble to read through this somber poem of mine, and write me what you thought of it! To be quite honest, I'm not all that pessimistic about our politicians, although I do believe their "lackeys" are acting a bit overzealous in their attacks strategies. So, again, let's pray that all these bad feelings, whether real or feigned, will end after November, with God's help. Willem |

Dear Willem, "Fragile Freedom", perfectly stated! We need to pray for our country and the leaders. The Lord continues to show mercy on this country, for this we should be thankful. Great timing. Marcy |
