Arise

As I look out of my window, the bars are all I see,
Satan holds me captive, because of sin I can't get free.
Each day I lived was in a Prison, there's no freedom here for me.
BUT THEN I MET the Master, He held the KEYS that set me FREE.

Do you remember in the Bible, How Lazarus laid there in the grave,
the people all around him said, he lives not, for he is dead.
But Jesus stood there in the doorway,
he had compassion in his eyes,
all it took was just his simple words,
RISE LAZARUS ARISE!

Now if you have a loved one, who is sick and all alone,
tell them about Jesus, read to them the words he wrote.
Faith the size of a Mustard Seed can move a Mountain FAR AWAY,
through his power Demons has to flee,
The Lame will walk, the dumb will say.

Rise, Rise forth and witness, tell the world he set you free,
Rise, Rise forth my Children,
You have won the Victory,
YES WE have won the Victory.

Sandgrain, thank you, and thanks to all the kind words spoken, With out the Lord in my life, there would be no words to say, only words with broken promises, but with the Lord in my life, I have a hope I can share, a Hope of eternal life through our Lord, I have read it from the begining to the end and I know were my victory lies, thanks again

Ya know what? I love your poetry! I'm glad you found us here and joined us!  I would ask you though to try and limit your posting to about 2-3 a day. Because it gets difficult to get to them all when people have such limited time.  Yours are wonderful poems and I would hate to see them sink to the bottom because of that reason.  They are an inspiration and deserve all the replies they get.  You have a wonderful gift, and I thank you for sharing that with us!
