Hold Me, Enfold Me

Hold me Jesus in thy arms of comfort
Enfold me in thy lovingkindness
Dry the tears of pain that freely fall
drowning my shame, mocking my resolve
to stand: girded in thy righteousness and truth
My shield is small and tarnished by the darts
the enemy in my humiliation volleys at me.
my hands so bruised with deep regrets
scarred with the etchings of sin,
scorched with wrong desires

Hold me Jesus, cradle me in thy mercy
Enfold me in thy longsuffering grace
cleanse my heart of all that is impure
renew my mind to thoughts that are holy
Forgive me Lord let thy grace bring peace
to my tumultuous self-deception
speak to my spirit, embrace me in thy presence
guide me along smooth paths of restoration

Hold me Jesus, rock me in thy blessed assurance
Enfold me in thy promises - save me.

It is safe to say, i am in awe of your Pslam posts.  Everything you say here was like it was  taken from my longing as well.  Perhaps i shall be blessed, one day, to feel the Strength like you do, Lamb.  In a single poem, you exhibit why you have stolen my heart
and return with all my dreams.

Your safe, but you don't have to wait for someday, or even one day, Jesus is at the door and knocking, all you need do is let him in.
Awww...seriously though: Thank you sweetheart, that was a very tender reply that left me um- blushing head to toe! (((hugs)))

Nancy,
thank you sweet lady for those sweet comments! I am so glad you liked it.

This sounds like it came straight from the old testament.  Joyce

Joyce, yep! And if you read it beginning to end, you will probably find every line someplace. I spent the first three years of my new life devouring the bible cover to cover and studying it. I never tire of reading and meditating on the Word of God, it is the only thing that keeps me going. Thank you for stopping in to bless me!

Dulcie darling heart and holder of the sky’s lights yet again this is so beautifully written I swear I can hear angels sighing in delight. I certainly can see the beauty and feel the wonder flowing through my mind. Truly exquisite writing, every single time you write, I hear the words ripple though my soul, how well you know HIM darling girl. And how beautifully you display HIS grace excellent writing stunningly well written the way it flows from beginning to end in such lyrical beauty. I love it love it love it utterly utterly utterly.

This is simply gorgeous writing well done,
Love and warm stuff
As always
Mushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Marsha, you are a mushy one indeed! I have to give credit where credit is due, and it is HIS word, preserved by those who loved and were inspired by Him that has given me the ability to express my inspirations...Thank you dear lady! *God Bless You*
