Mark's Story

Mark tells the story of Jesus,
Beginning with His healing trips.
He doesn't speak of the Holy Birth.
Matthew heard that from Mary's lips.

Mark listened to stories told by
His beloved Uncle Barnabas;
Who learned from disciple Peter.
Mark passed the true words on to us.

Mark traveled with Apostle Paul.
Oh what a grand teacher was he,
Then went back to write of wonders.
A gospel for you and for me.

We owe it all to those writers,
Mark and Matthew and Luke and John,
That we have learned of Jesus' life.
In the four gospels He lives on.
