When my soul within me bows deep in pain When the anguish in my heart takes my breath away I turn to the one who loves me without measure or merit The only one who truly cares about me day by day In His arms is my solitary comfort, there I renew When earthly love is unfaithful, and its actions untrue I cannot be unfaithful to the one who holds my eternity Even though the pain in unbearable, and my mind blue. From Him I will draw strength as I lean on His word and stand in the faith, knowing my spirit he will gird for I am bought with a price and cannot deny His love I am His child, a mirror image walking alone in this world So when disappointments mount within my mind horde, To Him I will run--my refuge, my saviour, my Lord. I changed "and" to "within", seems to fit better, sorry!  [This message has been edited by Dulcinea (07-01-2002 05:10 PM).] |

Dulcinea, I like the whole poem, but the last line screams of compassion and truth.... No matter the darkness we might face in life, Jesus is our Refuge, our Saviour, and our Lord.... This is a wonderful truth that we can not forget. GOD bless. -Bob |

It is true, Jesus is the only true comfort there is in this world, and I know that He will always be there for me, no matter what...the friend that sticks closer than a brother...how I depend on that!
