The Errant Gardener

My garden was getting peevish.
She wanted to be left alone.
She told me if I was patient
she could do it all on her own.
I took her at her word and left
to rest myself and sit awhile.
Now my pretty little garden
is like an ugly refuse pile.
The weeds that I had been digging
for so many wearisome hours
have sprouted anew and now I
find, they've crowded out my flowers.

Every weed has a look alike
plant growing near to hide behind,
then getting bolder, takes over.
Now my flowers I cannot find.
Is this not like our lives sometimes?
We forget we are God's garden.
We tend to let the weed deeds grow.
We must humbly ask God's pardon.

(big hugggssssssss) Oh Joyce, this is so very true, sweet friend, it saddens me to so many forget how great He is and just asking for His assistance can help fertilize the garden of our hearts and make them fruitful with budding fruit and flowers! (kiss on cheek) May we always reach up to Him with heart, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Joyce, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Isn't it wonderful that we have a forgiving and loving God?
I loved this!

Oh so true Joyce ~ a wonderfully written reminder...I love to garden, and find such peace there...even with those pesky weeds ~ they keep me going out to spend the quiet time I need...Thanks for sharing this.  Bonnie
