~In The Presence of Angels~ Angels walk beside us... I know this to be true. They stand there quietly- next to me...next to you. They are not the way you imagine... Not adorned with wings or lace, Sent here to guide us- To light our path towards Gods grace. Granting random acts of kindness- deeds of love for which they ask no fame. Once taken under wing... Your life will never be the same. Healing hearts with their forgiving touch, Our prayers keep them here. They protect and provide... Find your peace in knowing they are near. The only way to see them... Is to believe and open your mind. Look for the light that shines in us all... Faiths gift...the greatest love you will ever find. Janet Marie |

There is isn't there? I have to admit I don't think about them all too much, but these poems have really got me thinking... Janet this is a beautiful poem, and you've got the rhyming thing down so well! I liked the line "they are not the way you imagine," because it's true - pictures of them show white lacy wings, and haloes, and in reality who knows what they look like? OFten they have just the appearance of a human... and you're right, they lust not after fame or fortune, as humans do, they are pure and holy. I enjoyed this Janet, thanks. |

Janet this was great! There has been a lot of angels lately...hehe... Your very right, they don't have wants of recognition for what they've done. They come and they help. They do come in many forms! Angels do not have wings, like some may think. WE were created in the image of God. Let us make man in our image. That us and our, is God and the angels. A replica, a mirror image, and angels look like we do. Angels are merely messangers from God...Has everyone seen that movie Ghost, with patrick swayze, and demi moore? Well, when he dies and goes up...he looked like him, but in his spiritual body instead of the flesh body. That is exactly it, and the best it can be described, I thought they did an excellent job on that. We do not have wings, we look then like we do now. For we will recognize each other in Heaven! Sorry, gettin long winded here...hehe I do so believe one crossed my path one day. I prayed for an angel to come intercede and low and behold there was a person, who appeared in the parking lot at work while I was standing there. I honestly couldn't tell you where he came from. He started talking to the others I was with, and in my turmoil, I walked away. It's funny cause the very thing he was speaking of was God! And man, how I wish to this day that I would have listened and not walked away. I didn't think to much of it, right at the moment, though it did enter my mind...but the after affects of that I will never forget! That moment will be with me forever! So if it seems that someone appears from nowhere and is sharing something with you, take heed...STOP AND LISTEN! [This message has been edited by WhtDove (edited 01-28-2000).] |

dear friends... thanks to ALL of you (so much) for your sweet words for this poem, Ellie you warm my heart  White Dove, thank you for the words of wisdom and inspiration. I was given the precious gift of an angel in my life...and it changed me forever. His love taught me lessons of faith and forgiveness that will stay with me always... my angel was called home and he has found the peace he so deeply deserved... we live in the light. Take Care all, Janet Marie Some things cannot be explained by verses that rhyme, They are not measured by the commitment of time.
