God's Promise

Here at tomorrow's gateway,
The dawn has flushed the sky.
What will the hours hold for me
As they go swiftly by?
Will it be something wonderful?
Perhaps a friend to keep,
Who'll share all my adventures.
Together we will reap
The flowers and the fruitings
We find along the way.
The laughter and the blessings
Within each coming day.
What if the future's cloudy,
With many showers too?
There'll always be a rainbow.
God's promise, coming true.
