I Never Pray Alone

Even when my brother
even when my sister
are far away
or running through their own lives
dodging darts and bullets
living projects at them

still
I never pray alone
for
whether my need is known
or unknown
should I go apart
to sit, wonder, and pine
for help, for hearing,
He comes and sits with me
He who is the head,
the Son,
and the Spirit

Every part of He, who is three,
sits with me,
advocating, contemplating,
captivating
the perfect power
that is Him.

Even when I’m too stupid
with pain and doubt
to remember His promise,
His power
His Love

Even when I am stooped
in the heaviness of the world,
nearly broken
by straws placed upon my back,
He joins me
in His Trinity of being,
that His promise,
“Wherever two or more are gathered in His Name,
He is right there among them,” will endure.

No, I never pray alone
even when I’m stupid;
even when I’m stooped
even when the darkness
overcomes,
He sends the light
of His wondrous spirit
and loves me into renewal.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

VAS,

Yes, GOD is still Counselor!  Thank you for presenting the attributes of GOD in such a real and human way. Your poem really gets down to our level.  GOD bless you. -Bob

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Yes, the Holy Spirit is our connection to God. We are never alone when The Holy Spirit of God is in our spirit, teaching us, guiding us,  comforting us, giving us God's Wonderful Gifts. Thank you for this beautiful poem.

Fantastic poem. It's a masterpiece (fingers snap) Beautifully written.
May I just say what a wonderfull place this it. Everytime I need cheering up, the first poem I read, makes me happy.
May God bring all your hearts the happiness that you've brought mine.
Ps. This poem rocks! Can't wait to hear another one from you
