We Must Tell the World If GOD You are a GOD of Love Who sends Your angels from above Encompassing our hearts with boldness. If GOD You are a GOD of Peace Who causes all our wars to cease And takes away our pain and coldness. If GOD You are the King of kings, If GOD You are the Joy songs bring, If GOD You made above all things For us to share in Glory ... Then we must tell the World the GOD You are. If GOD You are a GOD of Light Who shines throughout our darkest night Enlightening our lives with wholeness. If GOD You are a GOD of Grace Who makes a smile upon each face And fills our empty souls with fullness. If GOD You are the King of kings, If GOD You are the Joy songs bring, If GOD You made above all things For us to share in Glory ... Then we must tell the World the GOD You are. -Lighthouse Bob |

I particularly liked the wording here: "If GOD You are a GOD of Love" that, followed by the repetitive use of "If GOD", was, I thought a clever tool to carry the reader's subjective mind to the idea of a 'checklist'--I enjoyed that much. Beautiful thoughts, emphasized by intelligent concept! |

Serenity, You found me out! Actually, I was demonstrating the concept of "critical thinking" here that I believe was first introduced by Aristotle .... I presented several premises that supported a single conclusion. Anyway, it all makes for a pretty good argument. Oh, thank you for noticing an "intellegent concept" and for your comments. Cheryl, The pleasure is all mine. No, really... Because, GOD gives me the opportunity to read these poems first before I share them with you. And what a great idea ... but I think GOD has taken it a small step further than a billboard. I think His presence is evidenced on all the faces of those that He has demonstrated His pesence upon in their lives. My friend, every time we step out into the public eye, the World is seeing it. Ellie, Thank you for your reply. As you know, we can show Love to the World in so many many different ways. Because writing poetry is so dear to my heart, I certainly feel a certain Love each time you or anyone else reads a poem that I have written and takes the time to reply.
