Lifes Storms There are days when we feel the warmth of the sun and times when from it all we want to run, the weather can bless us, bring joy to our hours, and it can curse us with it's mighty dark powers Thunders and lightning’s can crash across the skies of our mind, creating havoc of the very worst kind With the world in a storm an early snow Can be one of the prettiest shows Snow of white so pure as the clouds above Reflective of God's abundant love For as the snow covers the earth God's love covers our sins And then again with the ravages of sin, that snow can be dirtied and sullied, as the rains of hate and dire straights pelt us with force, and make all things muddied Yet the warmth of the sun can bring joy on the run and restore the damage and pain, and make us whole in the Son Just remember when the storms of life get you down Seemingly no one is around That just as he died on the cross for our sins He arose again pure and free of sin So like the early snow takes away the ugly of the earth His blood will take your sins away And as those sins are washed away, it matters not from day to day, Whether you have good or stormy Weather, He will be there to help you keep your life together So let not wind, hail, sleet or desert heat intimidate You shall overcome adversity through His amazing grace So as the storms of this world get you down Making you feel like you are going to drown Raise your eyes toward Gods grace To look upon the saviors face The storms will subside For he has the power to calm the rushing tide Mom, thank you for the honor of doing this duet with you Love you, Mom alan |

Wonderful duet! You make a good team! None of us enjoy the storms of life, that's for sure, but it can be a growing and learning time for us. For me it teaches me where my shelter is...and that's in God's arms. He's the only one I know who is always there for me. Deb |

Alan, what a treat to read something you wrote with your mother. She must be pleased and delighted that you asked her. Lovely testament to your faith. Cheryl |
