The Perfect Gift The perfect gift presented in the poorest wrappings The perfect gift free of superficial trappings The perfect gift born of lowly circumstance The perfect gift seemed so common at first glance This gift is love in the form of a child This gift is love a nature sweet and mild This gift is love wrapped in simple swaddling clothes This gift is love given so the whole world knows Christ is this gift of love in the form of a man Christ is this gift of perfection in God’s plan Christ is this gift of God, the Father from above Christ is this gift Jesus, his name is LOVE Cheryl McClellan 11/26/01 |
