This poem is written for my friend Lito whom the Lord spoke through a tomato.

The Tomato Song

Travelin' down the road on 152,
Lord, won't ya tell me
what I’m s'pose to do?
All of my life,
I've tried to break through.
Lord, tell me which way to go?
The traffic is way too slow.
The Lord spoke through a tomato.

Travelin' down the road on 152,
I saw a small plant
trying to break through.
I asked the Lord,
What could that plant be?
Wonder if it is a tree?
He said to watch and you'll see.
The Lord gave direction to me.

Traveling down the road on 152,
I forgot the plant,
just what it might do.
When I looked 'round,
Can't believe what I saw.
The Lord protects where we fall.
The Lord let that plant grow tall.
The Lord lives inside of us all.

Travelin' down the road on 152,
Lord, won't ya tell me
what I'm s’pose to do?
All of my life,
I've tried to break through.
The traffic is way too slow.
Lord, tell me which way to go?
The Lord spoke through a tomato.

Bob; This was truly an interesting poem.  There is one thing, Bob, I know,
Nothing grows so slow as a tomato..:-) Wanda

Let me echo Wanda, especially.

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

If God speaks through a tomato, maybe that's why they used to be called "love apples'?
