Act of ArchAngels

when the smell of roses burn the nose
and the bee sting of bitter sorrow tastes like honey
When the recoil of a bullet's slap is felt by shooter
and penetration of soiled casing is repelled by loyalty
when angry words are buried on silent fists
and cocoons of safety fail to metamorphose
hell's tragic abode of cremating fire torches souls
heaven's fallen angels break the cardinal laws
One Man Makes a Difference
making a choice to leave behind his newborn child
to put aside his personal world for a greater one
draws his sabre of courage
and slew the dragon with unsurpassed resolve
Jeremy Glick, all 6'5" of him rallied around the Spirit
as God's benevolent Angel overpowered his foe
forcing United Flight 93 down in harmless Pittsburgh
while the White House took a deep breath
exhaled with unspoken gratitude
as lives were given to save lives
and Hero's were born
and shall never be forgotten.

Writer's note:  On 9-11, an emergency no 911 call could prevent, was diminished, and a diabolical plot thwarted by three American Hero's:
Thomas Burnett, 38,  of San Ramon, Calif.,
Jeremy Glick, 31, of West Milford, N.J.,
and Mark Bingham, 31, of San Francisco
diverted a flight probably destined for the Capitol of the United States.

Thank you for the names of those courageous men.  So many of us suspected such an act had taken place, but it is good to know now, who they were.  May their heroism bring a small measure of comfort to their loved ones.

Yes, this was the first victory of courageous men.  There will be many before all of the dust of this despicable act has fallen to God's earth.  Joyce

Songbird~~I felt I had to share their story. In some small way it gives comfort in light of the overwhelming grief that has shattered so many lives. Thank you for reading and helping me share the hope. ~SR

Trillium~~I knew it too, and coudn't find rest for my spirit until I brought the truth to light, thanks so much! ~SR

Joyce~~agreed! War is always an unfortunate result of thoughtless acts and violence, thank you for reading! ~SR

Bonnie~~Amen to that! Those families are, and will be in our prayers in the months ahead, and for those whose loved ones will be called to pay the retribution. It is a sad time. Thank you! ~SR
