Oh, Dear Lord, I'm not afraid,
In this great world You have made,
So secure, I might forget to lock the door.

I have put my trust in you,
So no matter what I do,
I know you are with me evermore.

Though I'm taken from this earth,
You have promised a re-birth,
And a home with you in Glory is in store.

If someone would do me harm,
Still I'm sheltered by your arm,
Just as safe as the saints who've gone before.

I'll not live my life with fear,
For I know my Savior's near.
I'll live forever with the One whom I adore.

I couldn't have said it better, with God we have no fear.

Fantastic!  It puts me in mind to the time I was wading up to my chest in the Pacific Ocean off the Oregon Coast.  Generally the water is too, too cold to do such a thing. I started thinking of the jellyfish and how people say ALL of them sting. I started thinking of sharks. Then I decided that I wasn't going to let fear steal my joy and I started watching those who were farther out. * * (to be honest, too, I decided if they started screaming, then I'd make my way back to the beach. Fear and prudence are just a finite line apart.LOL)

Joyce:  This is so good!  I don't know how many times I've been afraid and prayed for courage and felt the burden of fear being lifted from me. It isn't that it goes away totally, but I then have the strength to face it.

Joyce; this is wonderful! I love the motto..."Courage is fear that has said it's prayers"! Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.
