Sins
come easily
waiting in line
in the back of my mind
for the right moment
to enter my spirit
To exploit
to conquer my soul
I embrace them
later being ashame
of my own foolishness
And in my weakness
I claim the Lord
hiding my eyes
I pray
for what I have done
And my good Father
always liberates me
But my human condition
cannot transcend
and soon sins
again

The Lord has been dealing with me about sins. How true this is about our human condition. But what a prospect to find overcoming grace which goes beyond forgiveness and obtains deliverance. So the words of the Apostle Paul might be fulfilled in us "Sin shall not have dominion over you". The Lord does forgive (thank him!) but I long for a greater dimension of grace where "He who suffers in the flesh is done with sin". I'm not teaching sinless perfection in this life, but that there is more perhaps than many Chrstians like myself have known.

Yes, the human condition is that we do sin. But we can ask for forgiveness and know it will be granted from our Heavenly Father. Joyce
