do you remember me lord
when I was a young man
when I was strong
and didn't need anyone
to help me

when I waved my arms
and shouted at the sky
telling our father
how he could have done better
with the world

and do you remember
when I was older
still stubborn
when I would ignore
your quiet voice that spoke

when I would run away from you
and turn up my music
so as not to be distracted
by the spirit
that whispered to my soul

you don't remember?
forgivness has eresed it all?
those days don't exist now?
it is all forgotten?
thank you father...

please help me forget too..

"Do you remember" ~ neweyeday ~ Sure sounds like the very same things I could/should ask...This is a great piece that has surely gotten me thinking this morning.  Welcome to our little corner of the world, looking forward to reading more of your work.  Bonnie

This is very good.  Sometimes, even knowing God forgives us for transgressions, it is hard to forgive ourselves.

Oh so very well said. We just have to live long enough to reach the stage where we listen to our God.  Joyce

A great poem. A great reminder..not to think of how we were but how we are to him now. It helps me to read this because we can be so self torturing. Wonderful inspiration.
Sincerely,

Reminds me that God has seperated our sin from us as far away as the east is from the west..... this is beautiful that God not only forgives but also that He forgets.  What a wonderful release for our conscience.  Thank you for a reminder that is always in season.  Bob <><

This is great. We do seem to ignore his calling at times, but he is always there- waiting to forgive.

A wonderful reminder of forgiveness, at the Ultimate level.

Trangressions are best to be forgotten, but the lessons learned!

Well done, Mon Ami!  SR
