In awe I watched the scene unfold,
As darkness turned to day,
The waking sun just rising,
While the silent moon slipped away.
Through morning mist I neared the dock,
As waves snuck into the shore,
Cattails did their morning dance,
To the unseen angel's score.
The reeds to their side bowed softly,
When touched by the delicate breeze,
Sturdy oaks seemed standing guard,
With their dew covered, shimmering leaves.
An exquisite swan came through the marsh,
On his ritual, daily glide,
Followed closely by his mate,
Six little ones by her side.
A pale sun shone in the turquoise sky,
Casting down a tranquil glow,
And I drink in all this wonder,
As I see this perpetual show.
Each day a brand new masterpiece,
A sweet smile crosses Your face,
As we see the awesome beauty,
You've brushed with Your gentle grace.

I miss watching the sunrise! I grew up overseas on a beach on an east coast, and we would watch the sunrise a lot.  It was always different, always beautiful.  God is my favorite artist.  He makes no mistakes.  I can see now that I am deprived of nature...

Oh, Bonnie, how delightful! Am I ever going to sit on that dock with you? One can only hope that it is a part of His plan...Love, Ellie

This is so lovely and descriptive.  I could see the scene in my mind.

BSC,

Like the beautiful poetry that you write, I am sure that the Creator of all still marvels at the true beauty that He has created.... Your early morning awakening was truly marvelous.   Bob <><

You describe the beauties of nature very well.  I wish I could go off and enjoy nature more than I do, as it can minister to us in many ways.

Stephen.
