I'm glad God gave us such a sky, Where we can watch the clouds go by. In their endless variation, There's a certain fascination. Where storms display their mighty power. Lightning always makes me cower. There's cumulus and nimbus too And other strange shapes in the blue. Stratus, flat and colored gray, Often brings some rain our way. On crystal nights, I look to see The stars, in all their brilliancy And the many constellations, In their vast, appointed stations. There, fey Aurora adds her lights In northern climes. On winter nights, Who can resist a blooming moon? Artemis grants this monthly boon And any season of the year, Is beautiful because it's here. The sun, of course, our welcome friend, Provides us bounty without end And sunsets often paint the sky With colors that delight the eye, Reminding us each day, that He Provides us this variety! I love this...whenever I look to the sky I am always reminded that God is right behind that cloud, or beyond those dark skies. How wide is the sky and is God's heart! Thank you very much for sharing this with me, it really lifted my day! You are truly a wonderful poet. God Bless and Keep Smiling Stacey The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. ~Gal. 5:6 |

A lovely poem. As I was driving home from Seattle today, I kept watching the sky. Light and fleecy clouds, then dark clouds. It was as if God were teasing me. Tomorrow I want sunshine, so I can work in the yard. We'll see what God has in mind. joyce |

Dear Joyce: Thanks for your remarks. I hope your week-end trip was fun and relaxing. It is very cold here again, with only intermittent sunshine. Betty Lou Hebert |
