As he approaches the stage
You can feel the electricity
Crackle through the crowd
In anticipation of what's in store

He steps upon the altar
To the roar of the audience
The applause die down
As the music swells

His voice rings out
Rising to the heavens
In a thunderous crescendo
Matching the accompanying melody

Voice and music
Harmonize as one
Coming together
In a perfect blend

All present join him
In singing praise
And glorifying the Lord
With lifted hearts in song

When the music fades
The crowd disperses
Having been enriched
By his performance

All writing comes
by the grace of God.

Lone Wolf,

I believe that your poem portrays the voice of an accomplished singer very well... but this reminds me of myself, a father, watching my child perform, far from perfect, before an audiance and how very proud of him I am when I hear him sing before the Lord..... Wonder how our Hevenly Father views us when we sing?  Very good descriptive poetry.  Bob <><
