Challenge- The Wide Highway |

The narrow path that Jesus trod, Is the one we need to find our God. But we are all inclined to stay, Upon life's paved and wide highway. There's excitement on that road, to find, But it's of the counterfeited kind. These beckoning inducements all will pale, When shown the joys of the Glory Trail. The little signs along God's track, Will guide you forward, never back. The wide way has temptations strong, And sweet delights you know are wrong. The wide road is the easy way, Until it comes the time to pay. But take the narrow way, my friend, You'll find it wiser in the end. Joyce, I really enjoyed the analogy of the contrasting roads.... though light and heumerous, your poem shares much wisdom as well. Good job meeting the challenge. Bob <>< |
