My Prayer For Everyone

Sorry for my wrongs
I've done in my past.
Sorry for innocence
I gave up too fast.
Sorry for the evil
that my life has done.
Sorry that my sins
crucified the Son.

Easter day has left,
already come and gone...
...and I'd just like to pray
my prayer for everyone.

Sorry for the hours
You hung up on the tree.
Sorry for the tears
You cried so long for me.
Sorry for my ways,
thought I was having fun.
Sorry You gave Your life
believing I'd have one.

Easter day has left,
already come and gone...
...and I'd just like to pray
my prayer for everyone.

Sorry I can't understand
Your pain at Calvary.
Sorry just don't seem to be
quite enough for me.
Sorry, please forgive me,
Lord, I know to believe.
Sorry that you paid it all
though new life I've received.

Amen! It's a rude awakening realizing He suffered so due to my sin. Deep sorrow comes, followed by the joy of His love and willingness to give us eternal life. Nicely done, as are all yours I've read. Happy Easter!

And most assuredly a prayer that everyone should say, especially when they have the timeless message revealed.

It is awesome, amazing, that all the "sorries" we will ever say were forgiven so very long ago on that totally awesome day.
