Your Cross

Your cross is not children you're called to bare
nor is it God's message you're asked to share.
Your cross is not disease nor some sudden loss
and, no, your stepmother is not your cross....

Your cross is not problems that come your way
nor hard situations that you face each day.
Your cross is not a husband nor a wife
and, no, God is not the cross in your life.

Your cross is not smiling when feeling sad
nor is it holding back when everything goes bad.
Your cross is not circumstances that you can toss
but laying down your life, that is your cross.

Bob; this is very profound! My cross is my surendering to Jesus? I never thought of it that way before...I have to give this alot of thought...Ellie

A friend hears the song in my heart, and sings it to me when my memory fails.

Great job!  I like the way it was organized, with the "this is not your cross, neither is this, but this is."  It was creative and original, and you did a marvelous job of it.

Very good Bob.  I always thought of my cross as picking it up for Jesus and not being ashamed to acknowledge him to friends and foe alike.  Are we on the same track?  Joyce

Joyce,

Exceptional........  The cross is where our flesh was crucified and those fruit that we
bare are a result of our resurected life in Christ.  God Bless You,  Bob <><
