I danced with angels in the night.
I saw their faces, sweet and bright
All pass before me as I spun.
What wondrous creatures, every one.
I rose with them through cool, dark air.
I watched the starlight dim and flare.
Their lovely robes gave off a glow
That hid from me the earth below.
How long we danced, I couldn't say,
But when I woke, it was full day.
I opened up my hand curled tight
Around a feather, soft and white!
